This sculpture depicts the Biblical event after Genesis H 32 vs 24. The sculptor Nico Onkenhout(1918-1989) was a student of Prof. Bronner at the Rijksacademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam. This piece is a smaller version of the enlargement(1965) placed at the former Diaconessenhuis in Hilversum.
