A SERIES OF LOUIS XVI CHAIRS
This series consists of 8 chairs, including 2 armchairs and a footstool/fireplace seat.
Made of heavy solid beech wood and decorated with laurel leaves, pearl edging, rosettes, andmeander edging. The legs are fluted. Later layers of paint have been removed.
Origin: Enschedé family. Loaned to the Centraal Museum in Utrecht in January 1947.
Inv. no. 9977. With the original adhesive labels on the bottom lines.
