An Empire gueridon

This table from the Empire period (reign of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte) is performed in a mahogany variant, the Acajou de Cuba moucheté.

Attributed to the studio of Jacob Desmalter.

The original blade is made of blue turquin marble, a Carrara variant that was considered a luxury in this period.

The gilded bronze work of high quality as that of Thomire's studio.
