Aeolus
A sculpted head of baked clay depicting Aeolus, a figure from classical mythology.
He was the son of Poseidon, appointed by Zeus as keeper of the wind.
The convex cheeks are filled with air that is blown out.
May have been part of a series that depicted the four elements in which the sky is shown here.
